
My kid used to be starving right after school and would eat a ton of snacks. Then he would eat poorly at dinner, which was a frustrating experience for me.
One day I switched the order up and served dinner at 3pm. I would serve dinner again at 6pm as a family - and because he already had dinner, it wouldn’t stress me out if he didn’t eat well for his (second) dinner. We’ve had to adjust as he’s gotten more afterschool activities but this approach worked for a magic moment. 10/10.
